Ardhi University library serves the information needs of undergraduate, and postgraduate students, lecturers, researchers, and practicing professionals within the framework of the existing six schools namely: School of Architecture, Construction, Economics and Management (SACEM), School of Earth Sciences, Real Estates Business and Informatics (SERBI), School of Environmental Science and Technology (SEST) and School of Spatial Planning and Social Sciences (SSPSS).
The Library also caters for information needs of researchers in the aspects of human settlements, which are carried out and coordinated by the Institute of Human Settlement Studies (IHSS) and programmes of continuing education coordinated by Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). In regard to the widening of the University programmes and increase in enrolment of students it has called for equipping the library with materials and resources that can proactively respond to the current library users’ information needs within the overall new responsibilities of the library which include the provision of information, services, and materials to support learning, teaching, research, and consultancy services.
The library also has computer facilities with internet connections for the library users’ convenience, in a calm and relaxing environment, conducive for studying. At the moment the library has 42 sets of computers. Some of these computers are used for browsing materials from databases; internet and email services for students and staff and a few are used for administrative purposes. There is also a photocopy service.
