Dr. Beatrice Tarimo, is currently the Head of the Department of Geospatial Sciences and Technology. She is a Fully Registered Land Surveyor with the National Council of Professional Surveyors (NCPS) Tanzania under registration No. 461. She is a Fellow member the Institution of Surveyors Tanzania (IST). Beatrice has extensive experience in Land surveying (Geomatics) including field data capturing using various geomatics equipment, analysis of the acquired data and its presentation. She is proficient in satellite image processing, GIS analyses and modelling, geostatistical analyses and spatial information presentation. She has modest knowledge and skills in ecological analyses and natural resources management. She has been involved in various collaborative research activities and community outreach services of regional and national importance.
