Application procedures

Applications for admission to various undergraduate degree programmes at Ardhi University (ARU) for 2024/2025 Admission Cycle are invited from qualified candidates who finished form six and relevant diplomas.

Applicants are invited to send their applications directly to the University through an on-line system using the link admission.aru.ac.tz. Once on the admission page, all important information and steps to take an applicant through the application process are provided. Once on the application page, applicants will be requested to register their names as they appear in their Form Four certificates; likewise, their index numbers, email address and telephone numbers where prompted. Further steps include creating an account for the purpose of application, entering the necessary details, paying the application fee, making programme choices and finally submitting the application. Throughout the application process, applicants are reminded to use valid telephone numbers and email addresses which will be used to relay feedback of the admission processes. Applicants are also be advised to use passwords that they can remember easily. It is worth noting that all these steps are not only in-built in the online admission system, but they are also published on the application page. Additionally, entry requirements for all the programmes on offer are also published on the university webpage as well as uploaded on the application page for easy reference by applicants.

Undergraduate applicants with foreign certificates are required to apply for the Number and Certificates of Equivalency from the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) at: https://www.necta.go.tz. During application, these applicants are required to upload the Equivalency Number where prompted. Further, applicants with Diploma qualifications are also required to apply for Award Verification Number (AVN) and a Certificate for the same from NACTIVET at https://www.nacte.go.tz. Just as for the Certificate of Equivalency Translation, applicants with Diploma qualifications will be required to upload the Award Verification certificate while making their applications when prompted.

Application deadlines

As per the TCU Admission Almanac for 2024/25 admission cycle, First Round will start on 15th July to 10th August 2024; and the second round will run from 3rd to 21st September 2024. In case of any changes on the dates, applicants will be informed accordingly via the ARU admission panel. Therefore, it is important for applicants to follow announcements that will be posted from time to time; as well as any updates that will be released by TCU. It is worth noting that the second window of application will run concurrent with the first confirmation window; and the last window for confirmation will run from 05th to 19th October 2024. In addition to publication of names of successfully selected applicants on the University Official webpage; likewise, applicants will get feedback via their application accounts.
