John Mpemba Bulima Lukenangula (PhD) is a lecturer in the School of Spatial Planning and Social Sciences at Ardhi University since 2008. He holds a Diploma in Cartography (ARITA), BSc. in Urban and Regional Planning (UDSM), MSc. in Urban Planning and Management (ARU). He did his PhD at TU-Dortmund University, on Walkability in Rapidly Growing Cities in Developing Countries. He has experience in Teaching, Research and Consultancy in preparation of General Planning Schemes, Neighbourhood Plans, Strategic Urban Development Plans, Land Use Plans, Urban Design projects and urban environmental management issues. His research interests are in urban mobility, informality; land use planning, urban planning and Design, environmental planning and management.
