Shubira Leonidas Kalugila (PhD) is currently the Dean and senior lecturer of School of Architecture, Construction Economics and Management at Ardhi University. She obtained her Bachelor in Architecture from University of Dar es Salaam, Masters from Oslo school of Architecture and PhD from Bauhaus University-Weimar-Germany; her research involvement has been on challenges of formal and informal urbanization with a focus on Informal Land Developments. Shubira has gained international and interdisciplinary exposure and experiences through her studies, research and taking part in workshops and conferences; also, through taking part in international collaborations between Ardhi University and other Universities outside the country through programs such as SIDA from Sweden, NUFU & NOMA from Norway, DAAD from Germany, VLIR-UOS from Belgium and through Youth Encounter on Sustainability program originated from ETH Zurich.
