On 14th November,2025 Ardhi University (ARU) officially welcomed a delegation from the People’s Republic of China as part of its ongoing partnership with Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering. During the event, the Vice Chancellor of Ardhi University, Prof. Evaristo Liwa, emphasized the enduring collaboration between the two institutions and celebrated milestones such as the successful creation of the Luban Workshop, which has become an essential training centre for students in architecture, engineering, and related disciplines.
Prof. Liwa announced that a new joint training program for undergraduate students is in the process of being finalized, representing another advancement in academic collaboration. This initiative will enable students to pursue studies at both Ardhi University and the Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering, promoting cross-border knowledge sharing and providing graduates with the practical skills required to tackle both local and global issues.
He also added that continued collaboration has helped maintain high training standards, with recent staff training programmes in People’s Republic of China cited as key examples of progress.
He concluded by expressing his gratitude to all partners and stakeholders who contributed to the partnership, particularly those who supported coordination, training, and research initiatives. He affirmed ARU’s readiness for further collaboration in areas including staff exchange, consultancy, and joint research, expressing confidence that strengthening these opportunities will advance sustainable development and build a stronger foundation for innovative education.
