Ardhi University (ARU), through the Department of Land Management and Valuation, has forged a strategic partnership with the Treasury Registrar's Office - Zanzibar.
This collaboration is geared towards driving initiatives in capacity building through on-the-job short courses and Micro-Credentials, joint research, as well as assets identification, valuation, and preparation of asset registers consultancy services, focusing on areas critical to strengthening the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar's asset management practices.
Speaking during the occasion on 10th February, 2026, the Vice Chancellor of Ardhi University, Prof. Evaristo Liwa, said that ARU is committed to strengthening the cooperation with the Treasury Registrar's Office – Zanzibar by building a solid and long-term partnership that will indeed support effective management of public assets of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar while enhancing institutional collaboration between the two parties.
Speaking during the event, the Treasury Registrar of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Mr. Waheed Muhammad Ibrahim, said that they chose ARU because the university has strong expertise in asset management and land valuation in the country. He said that this distinguished uniqueness makes ARU a national treasure in terms of developing skilled professionals capable of supporting sustainable public property management across the United Republic of Tanzania and beyond.
The five years cooperation agreement between the two institutions is expected to commence immediately.
