ARU Leaders Committed to Environmental Responsibility, Moral Leadership and Sound Governance

On 28th August, 2026 Ardhi University (ARU) Council members, school deans, department heads, and directors attended a leadership training at APC Hotel and Conference Centre, in Dar es Salaam. The workshop focused on integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and leadership principles into higher education management.

The training focused on how to apply these moral and ecological standards in academic planning and daily administration. Speakers emphasized that strong ethical frameworks help public institutions better serve the community and meet national development goals.

The training concluded with a call to action for all key decision-makers to champion these practices in their respective departments. University management noted that embedding ESG values prepares the institution for future challenges while maintaining high standards of integrity. Attendees left with practical tools to improve leadership quality and institutional performance.

ARU leaders demonstrate a firm commitment to environmental responsibility, moral leadership, and sound governance by systematically embedding these principles into both institutional policy and physical infrastructure. As a premier institution specializing in land, environmental, and architectural sciences, ARU translates administrative accountability into tangible sustainable practices.

The training was facilitated by the UONGOZI Institute, which shared modern strategies to boost transparency, accountability, and sustainable development across university operations.
